There is a Sundanese phrase “paheuyeuk-heuyeuk leungeun”, meaning to work together or to collaborate. Paheuyeuk-heuyeuk refers to the word “ngeuyeuk” which means to weave and leungeun means hand(s). It is interesting that weaving hands is used to describe a collaboration when, for the most part, weaving is a solitary process.
In these works, I arrange together hand positions that are commonly found during weaving into formations to portray this beautiful phrase.
